Steps to Building an Email

To create a new email and its various versions requires the following steps:

1. Create a wireframe
2. Create and upload the individual content blocks that will make up the email
3. Upload images
4. Create a matrix:
   
   • Select the wireframe created above or an existing wireframe
   • Add a subject line block (required)
   • Add other content blocks that will exist in this email from the ones created in step 2 above, or any existing blocks that have already been uploaded
   • Add variables that are used in those blocks
   • Define the rules for each block and each variable to control which versions of the email the block or variable will be used
5. Publish the matrix
6. Select a permutation(s) and view and/or send tests
7. Make any updates as required, and re-publish the matrix to view and/or send further tests
